About the Foundation

The Ventura Wildlife Foundation is a Hertfordshire based not-for-profit organisation established in 2021 with a focus to protect wildlife and natural habitats around the world.

Based within the grounds of Cassiobury Farm, the Foundation operates a private wildlife conservation centre where it is actively involved in ex-situ wildlife conservation initiatives such as EAZA’s EEP Programme. The centre is proudly home to over 70 different species of exotic animals ranging from tamarins, flamingos, red pandas and Galapagos tortoises through to zebras, kangaroos, tapir and bison.
In addition to the exotic animal collection the Foundation works to maintain a variety of rare and unusual domestic farm breeds within its ‘World Farm’ section of the centre. The Foundation believes that creating sustainable and responsible farming opportunities is an important strategy to protecting various natural habitats.
The Foundation also works at an in-situ level to participate in various conservation projects. Here in the UK its efforts include protecting birds, bats, bees and other native British wildlife. Further afield in countries such as Madagascar, South Africa, Australia, Columbia and Malta the Foundation is involved in various conservation projects through its international Conservation Partner Network.
